Our civil justice system provides a level playing field for average citizens to hold even the most powerful corporations accountable. It promotes transparency and forces manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, health-care providers and others to make sure their products and services are safe.

We oppose tort reform, which would limit the ability of injured people to get the compensation they deserve, because the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution gives us the right to have a jury of our peers decide what’s fair for us and our families.
